The Adcore Christmas Card - The personal touch

It's that time of year again, Christmas is almost upon us, and here at Adcore Creative we would like to spread some festive cheer.
Have you noticed that we have stopped sending Christmas cards? By gone years when you would need some device to house all the cards that would filter through your letterbox, inevitability it would usually fall off the wall no matter how many pins or blue-tack you had reinforcing it! We think it is a little sad that the e-card and digital technology have taken over this wonderful yule tide tradition. Therefore, this year Adcore Creative will be sending out personalised cards to all our friends and clients. Our core business is based on the 'personal touch', providing and supplying our clients with an unique service. The design is simple and elegant with the message being the main focus.
Before you send out that mass email or your family heads on a Elfs body (funny the first year but please enough already!), why not send a real life card, with a stamp and a postal address, let someone know that you are thinking of them at this special time of the year.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We heart cupcakes!

We treated ourselves in the studio today with some delicious cup cakes from The Cupcake BakeryMaria stumbled across this beautiful store in Melbourne Central while on her lunch break. The Cupcake Bakery has three stores in Melbourne, with another one due to open in Chadstone this month. They have wide range of favours and sizes, today we tried the Red Velvet and the Choc Peppermint. We aim to try all 18 favours by the end of the year!

While cupcakes are on our brain this afternoon, I thought I might post some beautiful cupcake images that inspire me. (And make me hungry!)

This is from a photography exhibit in Australia called “Shoot the Chef.” Image from tribe.net
Thanks to we heart it for the beautiful photos!

Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne crowned Outstanding Marketed Hotel of the Year

What better way to kick off the working week than to discover that one of our clients, Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne has been awarded ‘Outstanding Marketed Hotel of the Year’ at the Australian Hotels  Association (Victoria) Accommodation Awards for Excellence 2011 on Friday night.
Adcore Creative has been working with the hotel for a number of years and seen it through two rebrands. The current branding was created by an external agency but we have evolved the brand to give Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne their own look and feel. The hotel has always been pro-active in their marketing and Adcore Creative is delighted to have played our part in this prestigious award. Congratulations!

Our Work | Hazrem Identity

Recently, Adcore Creative was approached to design the look of Hazrem - a new company dedicated to the removal of hazardous waste.
We believe that a logo should tell a story about the company rather than being just be a pretty mark. When our team develops a new logo, the process begins with background research, then we grab our pens and drawing pad and start scribbling ideas. We explore and develop several looks for the new brand which are not all included in the client presentation. Above is a little inside peek at a few of the 40+ visuals produced for Hazrem.
The final chosen design for this project presented a clean, strong and modern image, which also hinted at the stripe/graphic associated with traditional warning signage.

Eat | Grace & Hare

Here at Adcore Creative we are always on the look-out for a new restaurant to try with the team or to share with clients. So when we saw this new Melbourne eatery and minibar Hare & Grace, with its warm and inviting interiors designed by Joost Bakker (brainchild of Greenhouse), we put it on the list for our next lunchtime outing.

Our Work | Redesign of Clubtalk

Adcore Creative has been producing RACV's internal newsletter for the last five years and we currently gave the document a refresh. The publication goes out to all staff on a monthly basis detailing events, promotions and current movements within the organisation.
The new layout is fresh and clean with corporate branding utilised throughout.

Inspiration | Franc Grom Egg Art

While we hope that your Easter eggs are of the chocolate variety, these breathtakingly beautiful hand-drilled egg shells would be equally welcome! Created by Slovenian artist Franc Grom, each egg is painstakingly drilled with traditionally inspired designs. The stunning result is like fine lacework. Happy Easter to you all from the Adcore Creative team!

Inspiration | Colour

As graphic designers we constantly work with colour to create mood, brand or statement. Colour influences can come from many sources. Take this newly opened restaurant in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, brainchild of design team Sergey Makhno and Vasily Butenko; the colours are warm and inviting, muted but vibrant. Inspired. How cool are those chairs!

Our first post - Annual Reports

Welcome to our blog - the complete creative space, a platform to share with you our creative processes, inspiration and general goings on in the studio.

Our very first post, a preview of some of the Annual Reports that we produced this financial year for a number of clients in various areas of business. This type of report involves a great deal of strategic thinking and organisation, an area we thrive on.
