Rodney Dekker

Rodney Dekker is a photographer and video producer who predominantly covers environmental and social justice issues.

For the past three years we have worked with Rodney and the RACV to produce their Community Foundation Annual Review. It is a very exciting project to be a part of. The RACV Community Foundation has made a positive difference in the lives of many Victorians.

Rodney does a beautiful job in capturing these lives. These images were taken for the 2011 Annual Review.

We are currently working on the 2012 Community Foundation Annual Review and once again Rodney has produced some incredible and captivating images. We can’t wait to share them with you!

Eat I Pearson & Murphy's

By Josie Withers for Broadsheet

Just a short stroll from our HQ, Pearson & Murphy’s is a cafe/deli with a relaxed vibe and delicious food. Situated amongst RMIT’s city campus, Pearson & Murphy’s is a stylish new cafe in the newly refurbished, hertiage-listed Francis Ormond Building.

With timber flooring, accents of bright yellow and orange, creative graphic touches and mixed matched furniture, it becomes more than just a great place to enjoy a meal.

Open for breakfast through to late lunch, there’s a wide range of healthy, fresh options with a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern touch.

The brilliant graphic identity for Pearson & Murphy’s was created by Melbourne studio Projects of Imagination.

Be my Valentine

Valentines Day, some love it, some loathe it. I myself, love it and like to indulge my Valentine with a special card and maybe even a little gift, just to say, I love you. Recently, I came across a selection of cards and gifts through the Etsy website, more appropriate for the designer in me. God forbid, I should give my true love a Hallmark card with some characterless dribble inside! Here's a selection, perfect to push all the buttons and hopefully win you a kiss this Valentine's Day.

The Adcore Christmas Card - The personal touch

It's that time of year again, Christmas is almost upon us, and here at Adcore Creative we would like to spread some festive cheer.
Have you noticed that we have stopped sending Christmas cards? By gone years when you would need some device to house all the cards that would filter through your letterbox, inevitability it would usually fall off the wall no matter how many pins or blue-tack you had reinforcing it! We think it is a little sad that the e-card and digital technology have taken over this wonderful yule tide tradition. Therefore, this year Adcore Creative will be sending out personalised cards to all our friends and clients. Our core business is based on the 'personal touch', providing and supplying our clients with an unique service. The design is simple and elegant with the message being the main focus.
Before you send out that mass email or your family heads on a Elfs body (funny the first year but please enough already!), why not send a real life card, with a stamp and a postal address, let someone know that you are thinking of them at this special time of the year.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We heart cupcakes!

We treated ourselves in the studio today with some delicious cup cakes from The Cupcake BakeryMaria stumbled across this beautiful store in Melbourne Central while on her lunch break. The Cupcake Bakery has three stores in Melbourne, with another one due to open in Chadstone this month. They have wide range of favours and sizes, today we tried the Red Velvet and the Choc Peppermint. We aim to try all 18 favours by the end of the year!

While cupcakes are on our brain this afternoon, I thought I might post some beautiful cupcake images that inspire me. (And make me hungry!)

This is from a photography exhibit in Australia called “Shoot the Chef.” Image from tribe.net
Thanks to we heart it for the beautiful photos!
